Terms of Service
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of PLO Hero (the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a binding contract to use PLO Hero. By using the Service you confirm that you meet this requirement.
2. What PLO Hero is (and is not)
PLO Hero is an educational training tool for Pot-Limit Omaha poker. You play practice hands with play money against computer opponents, alongside coaching, equity information and a preflop reference chart.
PLO Hero is not a gambling service. There is no real-money wagering, no deposits or withdrawals of stakes, and no opportunity to win money or prizes. Nothing in the Service is a guarantee of results in real poker. Any decisions you make at real-money tables are your own responsibility.
3. Your account
You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity under your account. Tell us promptly at hello@plo-hero.com if you suspect unauthorised use. You must provide accurate information and keep it up to date.
4. Subscriptions, trial & billing
- PLO Hero is offered as a paid subscription: $19 / month or $190 / year (prices may change with notice).
- New subscriptions begin with a 7-day free trial. A valid payment method is required to start the trial.
- If you do not cancel before the trial ends, your subscription begins and your payment method is charged. Subscriptions renew automatically each period until cancelled.
- You can cancel at any time from Account → Subscription (the Stripe Customer Portal). Cancellation stops future renewals; your access continues until the end of the current paid period.
- Payments are processed by Stripe. Please also read our Refund & Cancellation Policy.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to: use the Service for any unlawful purpose; share or resell your account; copy, scrape, reverse-engineer or redistribute the Service or its content except as allowed by law; attempt to disrupt, overload, or gain unauthorised access to the Service; or upload content you do not have the right to share. We may suspend accounts that abuse the Service.
6. Intellectual property
The Service, including its software, design, text, charts and branding, is owned by us and protected by intellectual-property laws. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the Service for your own training while your subscription is active. You keep ownership of the hand histories and data you upload; you grant us a limited licence to store and process that content solely to provide the Service to you.
7. Disclaimers
The Service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. Coaching feedback, equity figures and the preflop chart are educational heuristics and estimates — they are not professional advice and not a guaranteed optimal strategy. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties not expressly stated here, including fitness for a particular purpose and that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free.
8. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for lost profits or losses at real-money poker. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under Swiss law, including your mandatory consumer rights.
9. Suspension & termination
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms or to protect the Service or other users. On termination, your right to use the Service ends; sections that by their nature should survive (e.g. intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, governing law) will continue to apply.
10. Changes
We may update the Service and these Terms from time to time. We will post the updated Terms here and revise the “Last updated” date; material changes will be notified by email where appropriate. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
11. Governing law & jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of Switzerland. The courts of Lausanne (Canton of Vaud) have jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory consumer-protection rules of your country of residence that grant you the right to bring proceedings in your local courts.
